Collapsed defense

In the first match, Manchester United lost by three goals.  They lost to the relatively weak Crystal Palace.

United have played more aggressively and possessed the ball.  But the result of the match ended in a loss of three points.

Lindelof and Harry Maguire had a disappointing performance on defense.

Many of Maguire's passes to midfield led to a rebound attack.

United were unable to break through the Crystal Palace defense.

Manchester United will have to make significant signings on defense before closing the transfer window.
