EVERTON 2 - 2 LIVERPOO Tough competition

In the Premier League match that resumed after the international break, both teams drew 2-1 in the Liverpool Everton derby.

Liverpool took the lead in the third minute when ⚽Sadio Mane scored.  Liverpool defender Van Dijik was ruled out of the 11th minute with a hamstring injury.  He was replaced by English defender Gomez but the defense began to crack.

⚽Keane's header from a corner kick in the 20th minute put Everton ahead.

Liverpool took the lead in the second half through a goal from ⚽Mohamed Salah.  Everton responded with a beautiful header from Calvert Lewis nine minutes later.

Everton were reduced to 10 men in the 90th minute when ⚽Richarlison bought a red card.

Henderson scored on Mane's assist in injury time to give Liverpool  3-2 victory.  But the match ended in a draw with V A R goal being denied.

This is Everton's first draw in the league.  Everton are top of the table with four wins and a draw after five matches. Reigning champions Liverpool are in second place.

United coach Olr Gunner Solskjaer has two main challenges.  These are two things that must be done.  United currently do not have enough players to move forward on the wing and support the attacks  of the wing from defense.
